Job Title: Concrete Foreman Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Asphalt & Concrete Foreman to lead field crews on commercial paving and concrete projects throughout the St. Louis area. This individual will be responsible for supervising daily jobsite operations, coordinating labor and equipment, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. This role is hands-on and ideal for a working foreman with strong leadership experience in commercial asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, and site improvements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead asphalt and/or concrete crews on commercial projects including parking lots, roadways, and site improvements.

• Plan and coordinate daily work activities, manpower, equipment, and materials.

• Read and interpret project plans, specifications, and job layouts.

• Ensure proper installation and finishing of asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, curbs, sidewalks, and related scopes.

• Oversee grading, base prep, and drainage work as required.

• Maintain high standards of workmanship, productivity, and jobsite cleanliness.

• Enforce safety policies and OSHA requirements on all jobsites.

• Communicate daily progress, issues, and material needs with project managers and superintendents.

• Train, mentor, and develop crew members.

• Assist with quality control, punch list items, and final project closeout.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in commercial asphalt paving and/or concrete construction

• Previous foreman or lead role experience strongly preferred

• Strong knowledge of asphalt paving operations, concrete placement and finishing, and site work

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Work Environment

Work outdoors in various weather conditions across multiple job sites in the St. Louis area. The role involves hands-on work with crews, requiring adherence to safety standards and efficient coordination of equipment and labor.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $39.00/hr.
