Awning Installer Commercial & Residential

Location: Downtown, Jacksonville FL (32206)

Shift: 7am - 3pm M-F (normally working until 4:30pm)

Pay: $20-$22/hr

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Awning Installer to join our team. This role involves installing a wide variety of awning systems on both residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working outdoors and at heights, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Install various types of awnings, including retractable, fixed-frame, metal, and fabric systems
• Perform accurate site measurements to determine installation requirements
• Assemble awning frames, support structures, brackets, and mounting hardware
• Safely operate power tools, hand tools, ladders, lifts, and installation equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair existing awnings, including structural, mechanical, and motorized systems
• Load, unload, and transport materials, equipment, and finished awnings to job sites
• Ensure all installations meet safety regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding installation details and maintenance recommendations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, tools, and company vehicle
• Follow all company safety protocols and adhere to OSHA job site requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in construction, installation, carpentry, fabrication, or similar hands-on trade
• Ability to lift 5075 lbs and work comfortably at heights
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with power tools
• Ability to read and follow installation instructions, measurements, and diagrams
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Professional communication and customer service skills

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
