Job Overview
As a Construction Team Lead, you will play a vital role in guiding and supporting employees in assembling components and constructing prefabricated metal buildings. Your leadership will ensure exceptional quality in work output while coordinating operations effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with department managers and supervisors to align operational needs and productivity goals for maximum efficiency.
- Prioritize workloads, manage manpower fluctuations, and oversee overtime requirements to meet customer deadlines successfully.
- Analyze production schedules to enhance shop floor layouts and ensure material availability for builder teams.
- Participate in training programs and implement process improvements focused on safety and quality standards.
- Support teams in adapting to workplace changes and utilizing equipment effectively to enhance efficiency.
- Identify and resolve work-related challenges while inspiring teams to achieve their targets.
- Promptly report machinery or equipment issues to maintain smooth operations.
- Engage in hands-on activities alongside your team when necessary to foster collaboration.
- Clarify company policies, enforce safety regulations, and participate in performance assessments to ensure a high standard of work.
- Create a positive work environment that nurtures pride in the product, emphasizes customer satisfaction, and values individual contributions.
Qualifications
An associate degree or equivalent experience is required. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of relevant supervisory experience in the construction field.
Leadership Responsibilities
You will oversee and direct a team of over 25 sheet metal builders, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws. Your responsibilities will include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, managing daily operations, evaluating performance, and addressing employee concerns.
Work Schedule
This position operates from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with potential for extended hours on Fridays based on workload.
