The Mechanical Design Engineer role is based at our Quad Cities Generating Station in Cordova, IL.

Entry Level - $87,000
Mid Level - $92,700-$114,000
Sr Level - $122,400-$154,000
Ranges are per year based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401K.
Primary Purpose of Position
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will perform a variety of engineering and technical tasks to support nuclear plant operations under general supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute engineering and technical assignments as directed by management, utilizing general engineering principles.
- Ensure all engineering products adhere to applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory standards.
- Engage in the development and application of effective processes and methods, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Propose improvements to standard processes and methodologies.
- Fulfill additional job assignments or duties as per company policy or management directives, including emergency response and outage support activities.
Minimum Qualifications
For Entry Level E01 Engineer – New Graduates:
- B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, or Nuclear).
- Compliance with access requirements and favorable medical examination/testing conditions as needed.
For Mid-level E02 Engineer:
- B.S. in Engineering with at least 2 years of nuclear or relevant engineering experience.
- Meeting additional criteria as defined by ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard.
- Compliance with access requirements and favorable medical examination/testing conditions as needed.
For Senior E03 Engineer:
- B.S. in Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Meeting additional criteria as defined by ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 Standard.
- Compliance with access requirements and favorable medical examination/testing conditions as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- A solid understanding of relevant techniques and the fundamental functions performed by the team.
