Machine Operator

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating slitter machines to cut foil rolls to specified widths and lengths. You will set up machine parameters, blades, and cores according to product specifications, inspect finished rolls for proper tension, alignment, and quality standards, and monitor operations to minimize waste and downtime.

Responsibilities:

• Operate slitter machines to cut foil rolls to specified widths and lengths.

• Perform routine checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Keep production logs and ensure accurate documentation.
• Adhere to safety protocols and report any issues promptly.
• Maintain clean and organized workspaces around machinery.

Essential Skills:

• Experience in production and machine operation.
• General labor skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to interpret job specifications and quality standards.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience with slitter equipment or in manufacturing preferred.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract position based out of Ashland, VA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
