Diesel Mechanic - Truck & Trailer
$30-34/hr
Schedule: 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - Midnight

Overtime available

Time-and-a-half paid after 40 hours

About the Role:

Express Employment of Monroe is currently seeking a skilled Diesel / Heavy Truck Mechanic to support maintenance and repair of semi trucks and trailers in a fast-paced shop environment. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, problem solving, and keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and after-treatment system issues
Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) on trucks and trailers
Troubleshoot and repair engines, braking systems, and drivetrain components
Complete small fabrication repairs as needed
Maintain accurate repair documentation and follow safety procedures

Qualifications

Experience working on diesel trucks, semis, or heavy equipment
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability
Ability to perform preventative maintenance independently
Welding or fabrication experience is a plus (not required)
Reliable and able to work a consistent 2nd shift schedule
