Electro-Mechanical Assembler B

Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Electro-Mechanical Assembler B.

The hours for this role are 7:00AM - 3:30PM

The hourly rate for this position is $22.00 per hour.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION

To assemble and/or test components using tools and fixtures and working from manufacturing documentation. This is a first shift position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Follow work orders, engineering drawings, and visual/written work instructions to assemble electro-mechanical components.
• Uses machines or hand tools to crimp, stake, bolt rivet, solder, cement, press fit or perform similar operations to secure parts in place.
• Mount electrical components such as transformers, resistors, capacitors, integrate circuits, etc.
• Makes a variety of electrical connections using soldering or related bonding procedures.
• Uses equipment such as multimeters and dielectric machines to in-process test parts during assembly.
• Assist in resolving production failures or product issues.
• Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment
• Work in a team environment for flow assembly work.

Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

• Soldering
• Blueprint reading
• Measuring with basic instruments
• As required by manager

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL AND QUALIFICATION NEEDED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED from accredited institution
• Minimum six (6) montsh experience in mechanical or electrical assemblies
• Reside within 50 miles of location (no relocation benefit)
• US person within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a US person as a US Citizen, US Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refuge
• Minimum six months blueprint reading
• Minimum six months soldering experience

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Follows verbal and written instructions
• Bringing up issues as needed
• As required by Manager
• Technical School / Apprenticeship preferred
