The Work:

Field Maintenance Lead troubleshoots, repairs and services aircraft and engine systems, and performs major structural modifications. Interprets and uses various test equipment and works from wiring diagrams and maintenance manuals. Required to maintain FAA required records, manuals, and inspection forms. May fuel and groom the aircraft. Oversees all inspections and maintenance on aircraft to ensure adherence to FAA and manufacturers requirements and guidelines. Receives and may be required to provide technical guidance as provided from Engineering with complex aircraft relevant tasks. Use of hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment. Support includes disassembling and inspecting parts for wear, cracks, security, or other defects, and repairing or replacing defective parts on or off aircraft. Adjusts, repairs, or replaces structures/systems and aircraft components, systems, or accessories. Applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation or manufacturers' manuals. Requires leading workload responsibility for the maintenance team to maintain schedules on assigned projects. Perform other duties as requested to support overall contract effort or customer Aviation maintenance support. Candidate must successfully complete FAA drug screening test and have no violations of FAA agency regulations documented in the records of drug and alcohol testing carried out by previous employers during the previous two years. This position is a safety sensitive position covered under FAA, subject to ongoing random drug and alcohol screening program. This includes being tested for Marijuana, Opioids, Cocaine, Amphetamines, Phencyclidine or a metabolite of these drugs.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $86,200 - $151,915. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
