Senior Plant Maintenance Technician
Manpower Engineering is partnering with a leader in the glass manufacturing industry for a Senior Plant Maintenance Technician.
Job Title: Senior Plant Maintenance Technician
Location: St. Louis Park, MN (ONSITE)
Pay: $30 - $35/hour, plus monthly profit sharing (equivalent to about $40 - $45/hour)
Shift: 1st Shift

Primary Responsibilities:
- Electrical systems, including lighting, circuits, and equipment
- Perform equipment set up as deemed necessary per applicable procedures
- Troubleshoot/diagnose plant/pilot equipment related malfunctioning and be able to use their expertise to identify the cause of the problem, and take permanent corrective actions
- Ensure safe work environment by following all safety and ergonomic rules, including any special personal protective equipment (PPE) and standard operating procedures (SOPs) applying to a particular process or area
- Maintain clean and orderly work area and participate in safety improvement projects
- Develop, revise, and review related SOPs or job plans/work plans for work related areas
- Plan and schedule own work activities with operations staff to minimize impact to production activities
- Developing, writing and completing various quality systems and safety documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Change Control (CCMS), Non-Conformance (NC), Work Orders (WO), Job Plans (JP), Hazard Risk Assessments (HRA), Job Hazard Assessments (JHA)
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance programs and establishing weekly/monthly/yearly schedules.
- May be responsible for various aspects of building, utility and production systems/equipment
- This role interacts with peers and clients in manufacturing, maintenance, utility plants, analytical labs and contracted services
- To carry out Preventive and Predictive Maintenance activities with compliance to the required documentations
- To assist the engineering department in the schedule of the annual shutdowns
- Prepare orders for spare parts
- To maintain and keep track of part's inventory
- To maintain and manage the work order maintenance program
Requirements/Experience:
- Related associates degree or technical diploma or equivalent is required or 5-10 years maintenance experience
- Can read and understand drawings/prints
- Can use simple maintenance tools such as impacts, wrenches, pliers, hammers, screwdrivers
- Technical data interpretation
- Can read and understand SOP's, prints and manuals
- Stand and sit for long periods
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls with gloved hands and climb or balance
- Occasionally required to walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, lie on stomach or back or crawl and talk and hear
- Use proper equipment to move larger heavier objects
