Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17 - $20 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Machinist:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, Swiss machines, multi-spindle machines, and other machining equipment

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and specifications

• Machine parts to tight tolerances while maintaining high quality standards

• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other quality-control tools

• Monitor machine performance and make offsets or adjustments as needed to ensure product quality

• Maintain production efficiency while supporting both high-volume and complex low-volume manufacturing requirements

• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements

• Work closely with team members, supervisors, quality personnel, and engineering staff to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction

• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency

• High school diploma or GED required

• Experience operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, feeds, speeds, and tolerances

• Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Available shifts:

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening), 3rd Shift (Night)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• Experience with CNC milling, CNC turning, Swiss machining, screw machining, or multi-spindle machining

• Experience in high-volume precision manufacturing environments

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and quality management systems

• Technical or vocational training in machining or manufacturing technology

• Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation

• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and measuring equipment

• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machine noise, lubricants, and metalworking processes

• Background check and Drug test required
