Brake Press Mechanic

Hours: 7AM-3:30PM

Location: Bonham, TX

Duration: Temp to hire

Responsibilities:

Completes all periodic machine maintenance as detailed on the Preventive Maintenance Checklist.
Accurately interprets pertinent data that is contained on the Blueprint and Traveler and apply it to the task being performed.
Configures and sets-up the brake press according to the specifications on the Set-Up Sheet.
Locates, pulls, and installs the proper tooling as per the Set-Up Sheet.
Set-up the brake press, paying particular attention to the requirements and specifications of the blueprint.
Bends parts according to the print specifications, stopping after the first part is completed for the required first part: Quality Inspection.
Accurately completes all documentation associated with the job prior to sending the parts to the next operation.
Accurately uploads programs and set-ups to controller for future set-ups.
Verifies critical to quality dimensions according to sample plan and documents results on hard copy or electronically unless otherwise instructed by management.
Performs other tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor or management. Advises immediate supervisor on all problems encountered and not resolved.
Is able to set-up and run production within the time limits developed on the traveler. Can point out errors on the traveler to Lead person and / or Supervisor.
Able to follow safety requirements, follows the Code of Conduct and all Plant Rules and Regulations and displays a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:

Able to handle parts up to 35 pounds.
Stand for long periods of time.
Capable of safely operating a pallet jack.
May be asked to perform other tasks within reasonable exertion limits to assist other shop personnel in special circumstances.
Experience Requirements: 3-5 Years of similar experience
