This is a position for a machine operator in a manufacturing setting, specializing in operating a large braid machine. The role requires the ability to lift heavy materials, work in a fast-paced environment, and occasionally get dirty. The main task involves operating large braid twisting machines, correctly feeding yarn and strands onto the machine, and ensuring proper tension to produce high-quality rope. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure correct dimensions during production. The job involves using a hoist, which can result in a bit of dirtiness.

Responsibilities

• Operate large braid twisting machines.

• Feed yarn and strands correctly onto the machine.

• Ensure proper tension of the rope for high-quality output.

• Pay attention to production details and ensure correct dimensions.

• Lift and handle larger materials due to the size of the machine.

Essential Skills

• 1+ year of production experience.

• Ability to lift heavy materials and be hands-on.

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean with 258 pieces of equipment on site. It is a loud environment, typical of industrial settings. Available schedules include a first shift from 6:50 AM to 3:25 PM and a second shift from 3:20 PM to 11:50 PM, Monday through Friday. The company is located in Fall River, MA, in the industrial park, with parking available on the premises.

This is a Contract position based out of Fall River, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
