Commercial Carpenter

The Carpenter will be responsible for the installation and repair of metal doors and the cutting and measuring of wood to construct temporary doors and walls. The role involves the use of hand and power tools and ability to be customer front facing.

Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Pay: $25-$30/hr depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Install and repair metal doors.
• Cut and measure wood to build temporary doors and walls.
• Use hand and power tools efficiently.
• Oversee and manage a crew of 2-3 people.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in construction, blueprint reading, and carpentry.
• Experience with framing and rough carpentry.
• Skilled in door installation, particularly metal doors.
• Ability to perform finish carpentry, drywall work, and trim work.
• Experience in healthcare construction is advantageous.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience as a door technician.
• Strong installation skills.

Work Environment

The position involves working in the field 100% of the time, primarily on new construction projects such as daycare and assisted living facilities. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for overtime. Employees must wear PPE at all times and be comfortable working in environments that may not be climate-controlled.

This is a contract position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
