Grounds Person

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a Grounds Person based out of our Archbald, PA Quarry, who will support a positive safety culture in an aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards in our East Region. This role is responsible for safely operating and maintaining machinery, such as crushers, conveyors, and screens, making spec aggregate on a day-to-day basis.

Day to Day

• Performing daily inspections and routine maintenance on equipment
• Controlling the flow of material
• Monitoring for safety hazards and equipment malfunctions
• Conducting quality checks on materials
• Keep detailed production, maintenance, and inspection records
• Perform any repairs or clean up around the plants
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned

About You

• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Positive, Team-based attitude
• The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
• The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Very organized
• Good, detailed communication skills

Working Conditions

Ability to work in outdoor environments, handle exposure to dust and noise, and perform physically demanding tasks. Work in various weather conditions. Flexible to work extended hours, and weekends when required.
