Forklift Operator

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain the assigned machines and warehouse equipment to meet daily order requirements.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Monitor product quality to ensure that standards are not just met, but exceeded.
• Follow standard operating procedures for warehouse policies effectively.
• Operate various warehouse equipment and vehicles safely while using different hand tools.
• Arrange maintenance and repairs for warehouse equipment as needed.
• Complete safety observations to support our commitment to a safe workplace.
• Keep your work area clean and organized.
• Verify all components at the workstation before commencing any job tasks.
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation clearly and legibly.
• Actively engage in Total Process Control (TPC) activities.
• Plan and participate in warehouse operations and activities.
• Maintain a reliable attendance record and be available for overtime as required.
• Follow all established practices to produce safe, quality food in line with regulatory and company standards.
• Be accountable to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
• Be prepared to work around ingredients and finished products that may contain food allergens.
• Be capable of performing essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Basic math skills
• Effective oral and written communication skills

Desired

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in food manufacturing is a plus
