As a Fire Alarm Technician and Installer, you will work both independently and on a crew to install, service, and maintain fire alarm and other low-voltage systems. You'll be expected to troubleshoot and support a variety of system types across different environments, from small residential setups to complex commercial systems. This position is based out of Winter Park, FL.
- Install, test, service, and maintain fire alarm systems and related low-voltage equipment
- Support systems including access control, CCTV, security, and gate operations
- Troubleshoot and repair system issues on-site
- Interpret wiring diagrams, site plans, and technical specifications
- Communicate clearly with clients and team members
- Operate company vehicle safely and maintain accurate job records
- Follow all safety procedures and work in accordance with industry standards
- 3 to 5 years of experience in fire alarm systems, low-voltage installation, or electronic security systems
- Experience working in both residential and commercial environments
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm wiring, troubleshooting, and system diagnostics
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and system layouts
- Familiarity with CCTV, access control, burglar alarm, and gate systems preferred
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and climb ladders regularly
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to meet all applicable state licensing and industry compliance requirements
