Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator, you will spend 80% of your day utilizing a sit-down forklift to efficiently remove products from the production lines. You will be responsible for moving palletized products, keeping pace with production, and wrapping material with a palletizer. Your role will include conducting visual quality checks, transporting products to the warehouse area, and ensuring attention to detail in all tasks. You should be comfortable manually lifting or moving products if needed and relocating empty pallets to the storage area. This position requires the ability to work in an environment that is not temperature controlled.Responsibilities:Utilize sit-down forklift to remove products from production lines.Move palletized products and ensure efficient workflow.Wrap material with palletizer and perform visual quality checks.Transport products to the warehouse and move empty pallets to storage.Manually lift or move products as necessary.Maintain attention to detail and keep pace with production demands.Essential Skills:Experience with sit-down forklifts.Experience in fast-paced heavy industrial manufacturing.Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform general labor.Valid driver's license.Additional Skills & Qualifications:Experience working in a chemical or dirty environment is a plus.Why Work Here?Joining our team means becoming part of a family-owned company that values its employees. The facility is in an older building, and the production bagging area is not temperature controlled, so dressing for the weather is essential. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portage, IN.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
