CNC PROGRAMMER

This is a full-time, first-shift position with competitive pay and full benefits. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday | Hours set by manager (6am-2pm, 7am-3pm, or 8am-4pm)

Responsibilities:

• Develop, evaluate, and optimize CNC manufacturing methods, processes, and tooling strategies
• Create and maintain CNC programs and router databases by machine and product type
• Analyze job orders, blueprints, and specifications to perform calculations for manufacturing components
• Generate process routings in the MRP system for both current and new product lines
• Support production by resolving programming, tooling, and machine setup issues
• Participate in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
• Design and assist with custom jigs and fixtures
• Conduct time studies and cost analyses for process improvements
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production to ensure optimized and standardized processes
• Assist in the recruitment, selection, and training of CNC shop employees

Skills Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering and a 2-year Machine Tool Technical Diploma OR Equivalent combination of education and 2-4 years of CNC programming experience
• Experience in a CNC machining environment; tooling/process development experience a plus
• Knowledge of 5-Axis Machining preferred, but not required
• Programming knowledge (Mastercam preferred); Visual Basic or similar is a plus
• Strong blueprint reading skills and understanding of GDT
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools
• Familiarity with Lean/World-Class Manufacturing methods
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
