Job Full Description
Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4pm.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a CNC lathe to produce precision plastic and rubber components according to specifications. This role requires an understanding of machining processes, drawing interpretation, measuring techniques, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC lathe to perform turning, facing, grooving, and other operations.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine machine settings and specifications.
• Load raw materials and ensure proper alignment and tooling before starting machine operation.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any operational issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company safety protocols.
• Document production activities, including job logs and inspection records.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize production processes.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in machining preferred.
• 1+ years of experience operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
• Familiar with G-code, M-code, and CNC programming basics.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Willingness to work overtime or shifts as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail for precise tasks.
