Our client, an industry leader in heavy machinery and mining equipment, is seeking a dedicated Technical Writer Heavy Machinery Automotive to join their team. As a Technical Writer Heavy Machinery Automotive, you will be part of the engineering support department, collaborating closely with engineers and technical teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical understanding, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?
- Create and develop comprehensive technical manuals for complex mining truck systems from scratch, utilizing engineering PowerPoints, specifications, and direct collaboration with engineers.
- Analyze existing documentation to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement, proactively addressing missing or unclear information.
- Develop a deep understanding of mechanical and electrical components of large mining trucks to effectively communicate technical concepts to end-users such as service technicians and repair personnel.
- Work closely with OHV engineers, asking precise questions to gather necessary technical details for accurate and detailed documentation.
- Organize, manage, and ensure the accuracy, consistency, and adherence to standards of all technical content, managing multiple projects independently to meet deadlines.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or demonstrated hands-on technical experience in machinery repair or servicing.
- Minimum of three (3) years of dedicated technical writing experience, preferably within manufacturing, engineering, or heavy machinery environments.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of documentation projects with minimal supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise documentation.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all technical information.
