Job Title: Trailer Mechanic

Job Description

The role involves the final assembly of custom-designed, heavy haul trailers using hand and power tools guided by blueprints. This position is crucial for ensuring the safe operation of trailers by performing proper installation, assembly, and other mechanical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform final assembly of custom heavy haul trailers.

• Utilize hand and power tools in accordance with blueprints.

• Ensure proper installation and assembly for safe trailer operation.

• Cross-train in paint prep, blasting, and potentially welding/fabrication.

• Perform mechanical duties quickly with minimal training.

• Conduct heavy lifting and work in varied physical positions.

• Install hydraulic fittings, control wiring, and trailer components.

• Execute pneumatic and electrical tasks per company standards.

• Perform trailer alignment and wheel installation.

• Operate cranes and other necessary equipment.

Work Environment

Work takes place in a shop and assembly environment, which can be loud and subject to varying temperatures. Steel-toed boots are required. Work hours are 2nd shift from Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm to 12:00am, with optional overtime on Fridays. A strict no-cellphone policy is enforced during business hours to protect proprietary information.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlisle, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
