CNC Machinist

• Setting up and operating CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
• Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and efficiency
• Inspecting in-process and finished parts using precision measuring instruments
• Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot and resolve any machining issues
• Following relevant QMS processes and procedures (including work instructions)
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area

5-Axis Responsibilities include:

• Setting up and operating state-of-the-art 4 and 5-axis CNC mills
• Manufacturing tight-tolerance, complex components from aerospace-grade alloys (aluminum and hard alloys)
• Interpreting and executing part programs, blueprints, and 3D CAD/CAM output with GD&T
• Performing tool selection, in-process inspections, and adaptive machining adjustments
• Collaborating with engineering and quality to ensure parts meet AS9100 and customer specifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist/Lathe Machinist/5 Axis Machinist OR similar role
• Strong knowledge of machining techniques and tools
• Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Experience in aerospace industry a PLUS
• Experience with Kitamura, Mazak and Grob is a PLUS!!
• Experience with Mazak Integrex and Quikturns is a PLUS!! (CNC Lathe)
• 5-Axis experience is a PLUS!!

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheat Ridge, CO.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
