Quality inspector

We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our production floor-someone who understands that in the world of CNC screw machining, a fraction of a millimeter is the difference between success and scrap. This isn't a "desk-only" job; you'll be right in the heart of the action, working alongside our machinists to ensure every part coming off the line meets our rigorous standards.

If you have 3-5 years of experience, a mastery of GD&T, and the technical savvy to navigate everything from traditional mechanical gauging to advanced CMM equipment, we want to talk to you. We offer a competitive 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday) starting at 5:00 AM, giving you the perfect schedule for someone who values early starts and long weekends.

salary: $44,000 - $56,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive First Article Inspections (FAI) and setup inspections to ensure production runs meet all specifications.
• Utilize a wide array of mechanical gauging, including micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
• Regularly draw and clean inspection samples directly from CNC machines in an active production environment.
• Interpret complex mechanical drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to verify part compliance.
• Maintain meticulous records of all inspections, ensuring high levels of accuracy and traceability in all quality documentation.
• Track and manage the calibration of internal and external gauges using GageTrak software.
• Work closely with Machinists, Engineering, and Production leads to troubleshoot quality issues and optimize workflows.
