Responsibilities
- Set up and operate fabricating machines (drill presses, welders, plasma cutters, grinders, torches, band saws)
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine job specifications
- Position, align, fit, and MIG/TIG weld parts (carbon steel, stainless, and/or aluminum)
- Measure work for conformance using tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, squares, and protractors
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Proficiency with MIG/TIG welding techniques and processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications
- Strong math skills and experience using quality measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, tape measures, gauges/protractors)
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- High School Diploma or GED; 1-2 years welding/fabrication experience
- TIG/MIG welding
- Blueprint reading and welding specification interpretation
- Using measuring tools (tape measure, micrometers, calipers)
- Operating fabrication equipment (welders, plasma cutters, grinders, band saws)
- Safety-minded work and quality control verification
