CNC Laser Operator

CNC Laser Operator -22-26/hr (DOE)
University Park, IL
1st Shift (Monday-Thursday 10 hour days. Hours are 7am-5pm. Fridays are 7 am-11 am which is all overtime. Expect 40-45 hours a week.
This position is temp to hire.
Our Manufacturing customer in University Park is seeking a skilled CNC Laser Operator for a temp to hire opportunity. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks such as setting up tools, programming and running Amada CNC Laser.

• Machine Setup & Operation: Set up, adjust, and operate CNC Laser. Loading materials, adjusting machine to parameters,
• Quality Inspection: inspections using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to verify dimensions and ensure they meet strict tolerances.
• Material Handling: Load, unload, and stage metal materials for the next phase of production, often involving lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• CNC Laser (2 years)
• Precision and Detail: High attention to detail for inspecting parts and managing, delicate, machinery.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift

• IL Paid Leave for All Workers
• An employee that works in Illinois is entitled to accrue and use up to 40 hours of paid leave during a 12 month period or a pro rata number of hours of paid leave under the provisions of the State of Illinois Paid Leave for All Workers Act. The 12 month accrual period is considered to begin for new employees on the employees first day of employment. An employee is entitled to begin using earned and accrued paid leave time 90 calendar days after commencement of employment. Eligibility: Active employees with one year of work and during that one year has completed 1,000 hours of service and is at least 21 years of age. Entry dates into the 401(k) are: 1/1 or 7/1 following the one year of service and completing 1,000 hours of work. The company will match 100% of the first 3% of the employee contribution.
