Fuel Distribution Systems Foreman
We are seeking an experienced Fuel Operations Lead to manage the logistical functions of aviation, diesel, and mogas fuels at a fuel farm in Mogadishu, Africa. In this role, you will:
- Oversee fuel storage, distribution, and maintenance, including usage calculations, service orders, and tank filling.
- Conduct inspections of fuel samples for quality, check gravity and flashpoints, and gauge tanks for water, temperature, and fuel levels.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on fuel terminal systems.
- Prepare and verify receiving/shipping documents and maintain documentation for future audits.
- Supervise and provide training to team members, ensuring compliance with safety and HSE standards.
- Collect and submit time sheets and weekly schedules.
- Conduct daily safety briefings and ensure proper safety protocols are followed.
You may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel as directed by management, ensuring compliance with company and safety standards.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, with 2-5 years of related experience.
- Ability to work in various environments, from conventional office settings to challenging project sites.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English at an intermediate level.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior military or contingency experience is highly preferred.
This position is based in Kismayo, Africa. Candidates must be prepared to work in challenging living and working conditions.
