Pipe Fitter/ Welder Job Summary:
Fabrication is the key element of this position, as the Welder builds a unit from the ground up using subcomponents from the previous step in the process given only the final drawing design from Engineering. There are no step-by-step instructions. The Welder figures out the order of fabrication for the pieces presented to him or her. A typical unit can be 5-10 feet tall and the same wide and long. It takes anywhere from 1 to 3 days to fabricate a unit.
Pipe Fitter/ Welder Responsibilities:
Pay: $20-$22/HR

Pipe Fitter/ Welder Responsibilities:
- Operate overhead cranes
- Interface and communicate with other departments to accomplish tasks
- Capable of reading mechanical engineering prints
- MIG & TIG weld steel components and caulk completed units
- Use a variety of hand tools
- Maintain a clean work area
- Ability to apply all applicable safety requirements
- Must be available for overtime
Pay: $20-$22/HR
Pipe Fitter Qualifications:
- MIG/TIG welding experience is required
- A weld proficiency test will be given
- High school diploma or any combination equivalent to high school
