Mechanical Technician

A packaging manufacturer located in San Clemente is looking for a hands-on Mechanical Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, setting up, and maintaining automated filling and packaging equipment. The hours are 6AM to 2:30 PM Monday through Friday. The pay is $27 - $30/hr, plus possible overtime. This is a temp to hire opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize automated filling and packaging equipment
Set up machines for production orders and perform changeovers
Assist with troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
Read and interpret job orders and production schedules
Complete production paperwork accurately in English
Work collaboratively with a small, hardworking team

Qualifications:

Strong mechanical aptitude (required)
Prior experience in automotive, diesel, tractor, or industrial mechanics preferred
Ability to read and write in English
Detail-oriented, safety conscious, and reliable
Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
