Job Details

Our client’s insurance defense team is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support General Liability and Personal Injury matters. This is a full-time position in the Westlake Village office, ideal for someone with at least 10 years of civil litigation, general liability, or employment defense support experience.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain and manage litigation calendars and deadlines (depositions, hearings, mediations, etc.)
Schedule, confirm, and coordinate depositions, hearings, meetings, and court appearances
Draft and format pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
File and serve legal documents with courts and opposing counsel
Organize case files, manage discovery processes, and support attorneys with case management
Provide general administrative and paralegal support as needed

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 10 years’ experience in litigation support, preferably in General Liability, Personal Injury, or Employment Defense
Strong knowledge of civil litigation procedures, calendaring, document preparation, and court filing
Excellent formatting, proofreading, and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and follow-through
Paralegal certificate or relevant legal assistant credentials are a plus, but not required

Schedule & Work Mode
Full-time, Monday through Friday
On-site at the Westlake Village, CA office (no remote option)
