Pay Rate: $30 - $35 /hr DOE
Location: Tukwila, WA
The Lead Machinist is responsible for the machining of fixtures, tooling, parts and test coupons from composite and metals and the training and direction of the machining department staff. Will also perform hands on machining operations and support maintenance, troubleshooting, assessment, and repair work on valves (Block Valves, PSV/SRV, and/or pneumatic and electric actuators) based on the associated skill level. The Lead Machinist will also travel to/from customer sites and/or an ISS Service center. If you are mechanically inclined or enjoy working with your hands, we highly encourage you to apply.

• Performs hands-on machining of fixtures, tooling, parts, and test coupons from composite and metal materials, utilizing a variety of manual machines.
  
• Leads and trains the machining department staff and provides ongoing performance feedback to team members.
  
• Conducts troubleshooting, maintenance, testing, and repair on valves, pumps, and other industrial equipment in both a workshop and on-site setting.
  
• Reads and interprets schematics, ensures work and materials adhere to manufacturer specifications, and completes all required quality documentation.
  
• Performs failure assessments, designs and creates new tooling, and works with management to ensure the department has all the necessary resources.
