Construction Helper

$16.00-$20.00/hr. DOE - Full-Time

Lafayette, LA

We are currently hiring Construction Helpers to support skilled Carpenters on commercial job sites. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on construction experience who is ready to grow and gain more skills in the field.
Duties:

• Assist Carpenter with daily job site tasks
• Use hand tools and basic power tools safely and efficiently
• Support installation of Division 10 Specialties including:
  
  • Door hardware
  • Toilet partitions
  • Lockers
  • Fire protection cabinets
  • Signage and visual display boards
  • Suspended lighting
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow job site safety procedures

Requirements:

• Construction experience required (entry-level considered with experience shown on resume)
• Must be a dependable, skilled set of hands ready to assist Carpenter
• Division 10 Specialties experience preferred
• Must have:
  
  • Own tool belt and basic tools
  • Hard hat
  • Steel-toe boots
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday: 6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• Regular overtime available
• Occasional weekend work due to weather delays (communicated in advance)

Pay:

• $16.00-$20.00 per hour (DOE)
