Commercial Carpenter

Commercial Metal Stud Framer / Drywall Finisher / ACT Grid Installer

Full‑Time | 50–55 hrs/week (Mon–Sat)

Experience Level: Intermediate

We are seeking skilled commercial carpenters with experience in metal stud framing, drywall finishing, and ACT ceiling grid installation . Ideal candidates are reliable, safety‑minded, and able to work efficiently in fast‑paced commercial construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

Metal Stud Framing

• Read and interpret blueprints and layout plans

• Measure, cut, and install metal studs, track, and components

• Build interior/exterior walls, soffits, and specialty framing

• Install door/window frames and coordinate with other trades

• Perform accurate layout using lasers and levels

Drywall Finishing

• Tape, mud, and finish drywall (Levels 1–5)

• Sand, smooth, and texture surfaces

• Perform repairs and touch‑ups

• Apply corner bead and finishing accessories

ACT Ceiling Grid Installation

• Lay out and install suspended ceiling grid

• Install ceiling tiles and specialty panels

• Cut tiles around lights, HVAC, sprinklers, and fixtures

• Troubleshoot alignment and ensure level installation

Qualifications

• 3+ years in commercial metal stud framing

• 3+ years in drywall finishing

• 3+ years installing ACT ceiling grid

• Ability to read construction documents

• Proficient with hand/power tools, lasers, and layout equipment

• Reliable transportation & strong work ethic

• Must pass OneSource Level 2+ D&B

Physical Requirements

• Lift 50–75 lbs routinely

• Frequent bending, kneeling, and overhead work

• Comfortable on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts

• Stilts experience (preferred for finishers)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, NE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
