Job Description

The CNC Press Brake Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient setup, programming, and operation of Cincinnati AutoForm CNC press brakes to bend and form sheet metal and plate components to precise specifications. This role requires strong blueprint interpretation, independent machine setup, quality verification, and the ability to make program and tooling adjustments to ensure consistent, high‑quality production.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete setup of Cincinnati AutoForm press brakes, including tooling selection, die setup, and back‑gauge configuration.

• Load, align, and secure materials according to job specifications.

• Run bend sequences accurately using AutoForm controls and adjust programs as needed for optimal performance.

• Execute production runs while monitoring machine performance and making necessary real‑time corrections.

• Input or modify CNC programs directly at the machine to correct deviations, optimize bend quality, or account for material variance.

• Interpret blueprints, flat patterns, GD&T symbols, and engineering drawings to determine correct bend sequences and tolerances.

• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and precision measuring tools to confirm conformity to specifications.

• Complete quality checks at setup, first‑article, and throughout production, documenting results as required.

• Stage raw materials, move completed parts, and maintain proper organization of work areas.

• Operate forklifts or material‑handling equipment when required.

Essential Skills

• Strong understanding of press brake operation and CNC

• Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.

• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.

• Experience with Cincinnati AutoForm systems.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wellford, SC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
