CNC Machinist - Manual

We are seeking a versatile Manual Machinist to set up and operate a variety of conventional machine shop tools, ensuring all work meets exact specifications. This role requires a high degree of precision and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities include:
Setup & Operation: Safely set up and operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other related machine shop equipment.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret complex blueprints, sketches, drawings, and technical specifications to determine dimensions and machining sequences.
Precision Machining: Perform various machining operations (turning, milling, drilling, boring, grinding) on diverse materials, holding tolerances to within specified limits (e.g., 0.001").
Quality Control: Measure, examine, and test completed parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators) to ensure strict adherence to quality standards.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Utilize expertise in reverse engineering to repair or re-create worn or broken components for industrial equipment when no prints are available.
Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine maintenance on machinery and adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and shop protocols.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

High School
