About the Role
As a Quality Inspector 2, you will perform inspections and tests on mechanical, electrical, and structural components to ensure compliance with strict quality standards. This role supports construction, overhaul, re-fuelling, and repair projects in highly regulated environments.
You will work under general supervision and follow established company and industry standards, policies, and procedures. This position includes decision-making responsibility related to inspection outcomes and equipment selection, with the authority to temporarily halt work when quality or safety standards may be impacted.
Responsibilities
• Conduct inspections and nondestructive testing (e.g., ultrasonic, magnetic particle, penetrant, visual, dimensional, and load testing)
• Verify that components and systems meet defined quality and compliance standards
• Perform inspections ranging from precision dimensional measurements to surveillance of in-progress work
• Inspect mechanical, electrical, and structural components and assemblies
• Determine appropriate measuring tools and inspection methods
• Accept or reject work based on inspection results and standards compliance
• Identify quality issues and escalate concerns when necessary
• Temporarily stop work that may negatively impact system integrity or safety
• Ensure all inspection activities align with standardized procedures and regulatory requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience in Aerospace or related industry
• Knowledge of Dimensional Inspection techniques
• Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience with Precision Measuring Tools
• Familiarity with Receiving Inspection processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience performing nondestructive testing (UT, MT, PT, visual, dimensional, load testing)
• Background in mechanical, electrical, or structural inspection environments
• Experience supporting highly regulated industries (e.g., nuclear, defense, shipbuilding)
