We are excited to welcome passionate candidates for the role of Construction Site Supervisor. This vital position guarantees that all RTMC projects not only meet high-quality standards but also comply with RTMC Quality Standards and relevant building codes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure quality assurance and code compliance through effective leadership and thorough inspections at job sites.
- Conduct daily inspections to confirm installations align with design specifications, generating comprehensive punch lists for enhancements.
- Maintain accurate records of any rework required.
- Develop and implement detailed production plans to optimize manpower, logistics, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Manage budgets effectively, including piece rate and hourly reporting.
- Enhance labor and material efficiency through strategic planning and team guidance.
- Promptly communicate any change order requirements to the Project Manager.
- Create Daily Log reports to track job site activities, ensuring clear communication within the production team.
- Oversee the logistics and management of materials, tools, and job site inventory.
- Engage with builders and customer representatives for effective communication; attend meetings consistently and punctually.
- Adhere to established project schedules and budgets without fail.
- Set clear quality and productivity expectations during Daily Huddles with teams.
- Promote Workforce Development by embodying RTMC’s codes of conduct and Core Values.
- Lead initiatives to foster job site safety, aiming for zero incidents or accidents.
- Encourage employee engagement to cultivate pride and enhance earning potential through effective management practices.
- Actively participate in the mentoring and development of team talent.
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Skilled in prioritizing and coordinating multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to organization and accuracy.
- Experience in accurate and efficient data entry.
- Familiarity with basic office equipment.
- Able to conduct independent research and information gathering.
- Minimum of 2 years of MEP-specific work experience or 5 years within the construction industry.
- Completion of OSHA 10 certification is mandatory.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Knowledgeable about IBC, IRC, and IPC codes as they relate to field installations.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office applications.
- A strong understanding of construction methods and document interpretation.
- A desire for professional advancement and readiness to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of job site record-keeping and communication practices, including Quality Inspections, toolbox talks, VPO/EPO, and Morning Huddles.
