Job Title: Mechanical Installer II

Job Description

This role is for a Mechanical Installer II, a more technical position requiring candidates with mechanical aptitude. The position involves working with hand and power tools and requires prior installation experience in areas such as machinery or robotics.

Responsibilities

• Install 20 robotic arms, approximately 40 sub-stations, and internal site fencing.

• Perform tasks on mezzanine and sub-mezzanine levels, including using power tools and running materials up the elevator utilizing a pallet jack.

• Support project teams by commissioning, cleaning warehouses, and building robotic arms and stations.

• Use pallet jacks to move, strap, and catalog materials.

• Use hand and air-powered tools to commission towers according to diagrams.

• Follow step-by-step instructions for installations.

• Run wiring for power supply, material handling, and general labor tasks.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 40-50lbs consistently.

• Experience working 8-hour shifts on hard cement floors.

• Good attendance and punctuality.

• Ability to take direction well.

• Willingness to work in various roles, from inventory management to housekeeping.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with robotics or machinery installation.

• General labor experience in construction, loading, packaging, and cleaning.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a distribution center under construction, which can be messy, loud, and crowded. Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Attire includes PPE such as a high visibility vest, glasses, hard hat, gloves, and composite toe shoes or boots. Jeans and t-shirts are acceptable, but avoid loose or baggy clothing.

This is a Contract position based out of Windsor, CT.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
