Job Summary/Company Information:

A company in the Morristown area is looking to add a skilled 1st Shift CNC Machinist Toolmaker to their team! This is a Direct Hire opportunity offering long-term stability, strong training programs, and excellent growth potential.

CNC Machinist Toolmaker job duties:

Independently set up and operate lathes, milling machines, and other precision machining equipment
Machine and repair high-precision mold cavities and components
Perform measurements and inspections on machined parts to ensure accuracy
Troubleshoot machining issues and ensure quality standards
Perform fitting, assembly, and preventive maintenance on tool shop equipment
Maintain a clean, organized work area and complete all required documentation
May occasionally travel to other facilities, customers, or suppliers
Lift and handle up to 35 lbs

Pay/Benefits:

$30-$35/hr (based on experience)

Schedule:

1st shift primary schedule
May be required to work alternate hours or overtime as needed for high-priority projects

CNC Machinist Toolmaker Requirements:

5+ years of hands-on machining experience (manual and CNC mills/lathes)
Experience machining steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastics, etc.
Ability to calculate speeds/feeds for precision machining
Surface grinding experience preferred; EDM experience a plus
Ability to read detailed technical drawings/blueprints
Strong mechanical aptitude and great math skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to follow detailed instructions
Must be able to lift 35 lbs
Post-secondary machining or tool & die training preferred
