Journeyman Plumber

We’re looking for a dependable, experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our team. In this role, you’ll install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, or industrial environments. Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, and plumbing systems

• Diagnose issues and provide effective repair solutions

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and building codes

• Install water heaters, boilers, pumps, and related equipment

• Perform inspections and ensure compliance with local plumbing codes

• Collaborate with apprentices, contractors, and project managers

• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment

 Required Qualifications

• Valid Journeyman Plumber License (state‑specific)

• Proven experience in residential, commercial, or industrial plumbing

• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and code requirements

• Physical ability to lift, climb, crawl, and work in various environments

• Excellent troubleshooting and customer‑service skills

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Skills

• Experience with hydronic systems, gas piping, or backflow prevention

• Certification in medical gas, cross‑connection, or related specialties

• Ability to mentor apprentices

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tuscaloosa, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
