Join a dynamic team in the automotive industry, specializing in the production of rubber components for windshield wipers, window siding, and more. In this role, you will be creating large batches of a glue-like liquid that forms the basis of these components. The process requires careful attention to detail as each automotive client has their own specific 'recipe' to follow.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions for mixing large batches of liquid rubber components.

• Lift and pour bags of powder, weighing between 30-50 lbs, into mixing vats.

• Ensure precise measurements throughout the mixing process to meet quality standards.

• Operate mixing equipment and monitor the batch process on elevated platforms.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols.

Essential Skills

• Ability to consistently lift 50+ lbs throughout the shift.

• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in following batch 'recipes'.

• Minimum of one year of experience operating Hilo (sit-down), preferably certified.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar production or batch mixing role.

• Experience with quality work and troubleshooting.

• Prior lifting experience in a professional setting.

Work Environment

Work in a large, well-organized chemical production facility that manufactures sealants and coatings. The environment is well-lit and clean, although the powder can become airborne during the process. Safety gear, including steel toe boots and hazmat suits, is required. The facility is certified EN ISO 9001 and ISO/TS compliant, ensuring high standards of production. Be prepared for warm conditions during the summer months.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Taylor, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
