Job Description
We are seeking experienced general construction laborers with 1 to 2 years of experience. The work will be conducted at the new center in Portland and the historic B&M beans factory. We are looking for someone with landscaping, carpentry, cement work, masonry, or anything construction related. This job will pay $20 - $23 an hour and can start immediately pending compliance results. A reliable car is required. Please apply today and we will get you set up asap!
Responsibilities

• Perform construction tasks including cutting with torches and welding.
• Handle heavy timber and concrete materials.
• Engage in heavy construction activities.
• Lift standard weights of up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds.
• Utilize power tools and equipment efficiently.

Essential Skills

• Strong mechanical ability.
• Proficiency with cutting torch.
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding.
• Familiarity with concrete construction.
• Capability to handle heavy construction tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with general labor and power tools.

Work Environment
The work environment includes participation in the Cape Porpoise Pier project, entailing the replacement of the bait shed, addition of a Harbormaster office, replacement of fuel tanks and fuel systems, expansion of the pier, and installation of a new float system for recreational boats and a pump-out station.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
