Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Component Fabricator for a respected manufacturing partner in the area. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong mechanical background who enjoy hands-on work and take pride in precision. You'll be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and inspecting components made from metal, plastic, or composites.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and work instructions
- Measure, mark, and cut raw materials to required specifications
- Operate fabrication equipment including:
- Press brakes, shears, and saws
- Manual and CNC lathes or mills
- Drill presses, grinders, and rollers
- Perform welding (MIG, TIG, or Stick), bending, and forming operations
- Fit and assemble parts using fasteners, welding, or adhesives
- Deburr, sand, and finish components as needed
- Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Maintain tools and equipment and follow all safety protocols
- Mechanical aptitude and physical stamina
- Proficiency in welding, machining, or fabrication processes
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints
- Familiarity with measurement tools and quality standards
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment preferred
