CNC Operator

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team in operating CNC mills and ensuring the precision of our products. This role requires the ability to inspect parts using calipers, gauges, and micrometers, and the capability to read blueprints and schematics with high precision. The operator will be responsible for maintaining tolerances, changing out broken tooling, setting up and tearing down machines, and performing preventative maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC mills and ensure precise production.
• Inspect parts using calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Maintain tolerances, including those in the negatives.
• Change out broken tooling and adjust machine offsets.
• Set up and tear down CNC machines efficiently.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machines.
• Run up to three machines simultaneously.

Essential Skills

• 2-3 years of experience operating machines in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in CNC machining and mill operation.
• Strong quality assurance experience in a medical device or similar field.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and measurement tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with microscopes is a plus.
• Swiss machining experience is highly desirable.
• Experience in a medical device environment is advantageous.
• Capability to adapt to low volume/high mix work.

Work Environment

Work in a climate-controlled, extremely clean medical device facility that adheres to strict GMP standards. The facility is located in Cordova, Tennessee. Available shifts include Monday-Thursday from 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM or Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bartlett, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
