Maintenance Mechanic

The Service Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of construction equipment machinery by performing maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair primarily in a field setting.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently diagnose and perform field service repairs as directed, ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Order and obtain necessary parts, materials, and supplies prior to arriving at the jobsite.
• Identify and arrange procurement of additional items after initial inspection and diagnosis.
• Adhere to safety and environmental regulations during repair and maintain cleanliness of the work area.
• Keep customers informed of completed repairs and communicate any issues beyond the original service call.
• Maintain adequate tools necessary for service requirements.
• Document and maintain records of time spent, parts used, and detailed work descriptions.
• Return unused parts and materials upon completion of service work according to guidelines.
• Provide daily labor hours to the Service Manager or Branch Administrator for timely posting.
• Prepare and submit expense reports with appropriate receipts and service truck mileage promptly.
• Maintain service truck in good working condition and professional appearance.
• Ensure neat and professional personal appearance and communication with customers and coworkers.
• Notify Service Manager of any tooling, shop, yard, or vehicle requirements or deficiencies.
• Continue with service training education to enhance knowledge and remain current on new technologies.

Essential Skills:

• Minimum of five years of experience in diagnostic and repair work on construction equipment machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
• Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Completion of High School or GED.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working with cranes, earth-moving equipment, dump trucks, and tractor trailers.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance and construction repairs.
• Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics systems.

Work Environment:

1st shift hours, 7am-3:30pm or 8am-5pm, primarily in the field performing maintenance repairs with a focus on construction equipment.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of Frederick, MD.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $64040.00 - $79040.00/yr. Complete benefits package to include medical, dental vision insurance, both short-term and long-term disability, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation and holidays

Workplace Type:

This is a fully onsite position in Frederick,MD.
