Join a leading tunneling and boring contractor specializing in horizontal auger boring, pipe ramming, hand tunneling, slip lining, and tunnel rehabilitation. We are currently working on a high-impact hand tunneling project beneath Flatirons Mall in Westminster, repairing concrete pillars that support major mall infrastructure.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Construction Technician to support underground hand-tunneling operations on a team of 23. This position involves labor-intensive tasks in challenging environments and offers the chance to develop skills with heavy equipment and tunneling operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand tunneling as part of a small, collaborative crew.
• Excavate to expose and assist in the repair of concrete support pillars.
• Operate heavy machinery including skid steers, loaders, and excavators (training available if needed).
• Take initiative on physically demanding tasks and demonstrate leadership qualities.
• Maintain safe work practices in an underground, confined-space environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ year of general labor experience.
• Ability or willingness to learn heavy equipment operation.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and initiative.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience operating or moving heavy equipment.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westminster, CO.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
