Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role involves assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing warehouse machinery and equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring safety compliance and performing electrical maintenance tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

Assemble, install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment in warehouses and labeling departments.

Ensure compliance with safety rules and good manufacturing practices.

Repair and install hydraulic systems and flow systems.

Conduct maintenance wiring, motor installation, and switch panel repairs.

Inspect motors, switches, junction boxes, and power circuits.

Make preventative and running repairs and corrections.

Install, connect, adjust, and calibrate electrical gauges and instruments.

Perform and follow lockout tag out procedures.

Maintain open communication with supervisors and employees.

Conduct operations to promote safety and comply with OSHA standards.

Assist in maintaining warehouse security.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in using test equipment such as multimeters, amp meters, and ohm meters.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, circuit diagrams, and ladder logic diagrams.

Sound experience in solid state circuitry and high voltage D.C. rectifier control circuits.

Experience working with 480V three-phase systems.

Ability to troubleshoot equipment controlled by P.C. controllers and mechanical sequencers.

Pass a Multi-Craft Aptitude Test (Mechanical and Electrical).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

5-7+ years Multi-Craft Maintenance Mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.

Equivalent combinations of experience and education considered.

Electrical experience and knowledge including troubleshooting panels and power sources.

Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot PLC systems

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochelle, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $34.98/hr.
