Job Title: A&P/ AOG Mechanic in St. Louis, MO

Job Description

• We are seeking skilled A&P Mechanics to join our team. We have two openings: one for a general A&P and another with a focus on Avionics. The role involves performing maintenance and troubleshooting on corporate and private aircraft both in the hangar and during AOG rotations. You may also work at other STL locations as needed, servicing commercial and GA aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on corporate/private aircraft in hangar and during AOG rotations.

• Float to other STL locations to work on commercial and GA aircraft as needed.

• Participate in weekly on-call/AOG rotation with the team, with the option to go on AOG calls while not on call.

• Manage projects you are attached to, both in hangar and on the road, providing updates to all involved parties.

• Interact with passengers, owners, maintenance control teams, and others to ensure aircraft are returned to service efficiently.

Essential Skills

• A&P certification is required.

• 3+ years of experience in AOG is preferred but not required.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills for project updates and troubleshooting discussions.

• Experience with corporate/private airframes is strongly preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience communicating with corporate flight departments, maintenance controllers, and customers is necessary.

• Quality written/documentation skills that exceed standard log books.

• Experience with Stephens, West Star MRT, Gulfstream Fast, Jet East, Net Jets, or Flex Jet is advantageous.

• Candidates interested in AOG work but lacking direct experience may be considered.

Work Environment

• The work schedule includes a set schedule with potential weekend and overtime work.

• Weekly on-call rotation is 7 days on, 7 days off, including travel and after-hours.

• Standard work hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM, with flexibility required.

• The role involves travel within a roughly 300-mile radius (Chicago, Kansas City, Indianapolis, Nashville, Little Rock, Des Moines) and will include working as a team on AOG calls. The environment is non-climate-controlled, and there is a strong commitment to quality and quick return to service.

Pay

• Up to $55/hr

• Per Diem offered to those who qualify

Duration

• 6 Mo, Contract to Hire.

• Company would like to covert contractor to direct employee at the end of duration.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $42.00/hr.
