Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) | Long-Term Acute Care

Pay: $30 to $32 per hour

The Nursing Assistant performs various patient care activities and related services necessary to care for the personal needs and comfort of patients. The NA-C utilizes resources widely while promoting physical, spiritual, and emotional wellbeing reflective of the philosophy and standards at Harbor Regional Health Community Hospital. This position is responsible for providing care to a group of patients in conjunction with and under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

1. Current Washington State NA-C Certification

2. One year acute care of long term care experience preferred.

3. Must have current BLS Certification

4. Ability to lift 40 pounds from floor to waist

5. Ability to lift 40 pounds from wheelchair to bed level

6. Ability to lift 5 pounds overhead.

7. Ability to pull 40 pounds from stretcher to bed

8. Ability to push a 150 pound loaded stretcher 300 feet.

9. Flexibility: kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, squatting, climb onto stretcher or bed

10. Auditory ability to effectively perform procedures and take adequate blood pressures.

11. Vision adequate to observe patients and to perform minimal charting activities.

12. Ability to work as part of a team.
Required:

• Current Washington State Nursing Assistant Certified (NA-C) Certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team

Preferred:

• One (1) year of acute care or long-term care experience
