Maintenance Mechanic A

Under limited supervision, this role involves performing a variety of complex tasks related to the construction, installation, maintenance, adjustment, and repair of production equipment and plant facilities. The position requires a broad knowledge of several maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks in multiple maintenance trades such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical.
• Work from maintenance schedules, detailed drawings, diagrams, specifications, prints, and both written and verbal instructions.
• Locate and diagnose complex equipment failures and ensure timely corrective actions are taken.
• Conduct routine, periodic, or special inspections to identify repair and maintenance needs to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
• Perform all functions of Maintenance Specialist B.
• Carry out other related duties as directed.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in troubleshooting and maintenance techniques.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical trades.
• Skill in preventive maintenance and industrial maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues using blueprints and detailed diagrams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience in electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and plumbing.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Work Environment

The role operates during the first shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The employee will work in an environment with limited supervision, expected to complete tasks independently and identify potential issues proactively.

This is a contract to hire position based out of Billerica, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
