Job Title: Commercial Sewing Machine Operator
Pay: $18/hr - $22/hr
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Job Summary
The Commercial Sewist is responsible for sewing, assembling, and finishing textile products using industrial sewing machines and related equipment. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow production specifications, and maintaining consistent quality while meeting production goals.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment to sew, stitch, and assemble textile components.
• Follow technical drawings to ensure products meet specifications.
• Inspect materials and finished products for quality, accuracy, and defects.
• Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and routine maintenance as needed.
• Measure, cut, and prepare fabric or materials prior to sewing when required.
• Maintain production efficiency while ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Follow all company safety procedures and production guidelines.
• Communicate material shortages, equipment issues, or quality concerns to supervisors.

Required Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience operating industrial sewing machines in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, measurements, and patterns.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to perform repetitive production tasks while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in industrial textile manufacturing, upholstery, tactical gear, or technical fabric production.
• Familiarity with production workflow environments.
• Experience operating multiple machine types: Single and double needle industrial machines.
• Knowledge of textile materials, thread types, and sewing techniques.
• Experience operating embroidery or programmable sewing equipment.

Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 25lbs as needed.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods in a production environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand movements throughout the work shift.
• Adequate vision for detailed stitching, measurements, and product inspection.

Salary & Benefits
• Starting Pay is $18.00 - $22.00 /hour depending on experience.
• Working Schedule is: 7:00am to 3:30pm, occasional overtime may be required
